Movie review 1: Insurgent.
Dear reader,
A couple weeks ago I went to a divergent marathon, so yes that means about 4 hours of watching this triology come to live. I am very happy with the first one, but with Insurgent I am not so shure. Please before you read any further, if you haven't seen the film yet and you don't want to get some spoilers or you haven't read the book yet and also not wat to get spoiled, it is best if you stop reading!! I dont want to spoil or maybe change your perspective on this movie without seeing it. So bye bye and till next time ;)
It is like a year ago when i read Insurgent, so the little details of the story were not really clear to me. I did remember some big events and well I asumed that was enough. I might have been wrong. When I was watching this movie i constanlty thought, wait.. did this happen in the book?
In the divergent movie, they left out some details from the books. I was fine with that, no worries. But the strange thing was that suddenly they were in Insurgent, and I know that confused some watchers that had not read the books. And it confused me too. Maybe that was because this movie had a different director.
When I read the book, I did not experienced it as a high tec killer movie. But the movie was. It had some badass action moments and I think it was a nice touch to it.
But who EVER made the whole: omg no I shot a good friend I am never touching a gun again tris into a give me that gun let's fight tris???!?!?!?! That whas a no go for me. I really wanted them to reflect the book Tris who is this badass brave women but also a broken sensitive girl.
I really loved the acting skills in this movie. Theo James is just this perfect four and Shailene is a acting godess in my opinion. But the one actor that really stood out for me was Ansel, he made me understand the backstabbing son of a Brother, like yeah what he did was wrong but in his eyes it was more then right. I also loved the way Miles Teller (Peter) brought some humor into this movie. Applause for the actors!
My overall experience was good, I gave the movie ( on IMDB) a 7/10.
Let me know in the comments what you thought and if you want to see more movie reviews!
Love, me.
